After much pissing and moaning about understaffing and lack of hardware, the article quotes a senior officer of the French Special Forces [placed under US command] who lets loose with this little gem: "If we are in a tough situation and are in communication with an American who speaks with a thick Texas accent, those are not ideal conditions for making ourselves understood."
