If I could turn back time...

Hugo Chavez will be nationalizing farms and redistribute the land à la Mugabe. The complaint of the man the BBC refers to as a "warrior for freedom" is that 1% of the population owns 60% of the agracultural land. 90% of the population is urban - it goes to follow that, at best, no more than half the remaining population is involved with agriculture. So the 2+% percent of people will have their wealth reposessed for the benefit of the other 3, along with anyone else Hugo can cart off to the countryside in his cultural revolution.

Why muss around? Why not just starve people instead of making the poor even poorer by making their food cost them more?
