What If We Are the Baddies?!

• I'm on the right side of history,
I'm on the right side of history,
I'm on the right side of …

repeats Xavier Gorce's "undefrostable" penguin like a mantra to his mirror image in a room bedecked with leftist saints and slogans, both modern and ancient, such as Mao, Che, the 1960s peace symbol, Free Palestine, Nuclear Energy No Thanks, The Struggle Marches On, U.S. Go Home, and Better Red Than Dead.

A cartoon from Xavier Gorce since the artist absconded the daily Le Monde for the weekly Le Point.

Classical reference in the headline.

To be to on the right side or wrong side of history one needs some history by way of orientation. The left does not recognize history. They have replaced it with an ever-mutable sprawl of fairy tales. In these fairy tales the left is always struggling to win and winning all the struggles. The western left is like the KCNA writ large, and the KCNA is like Hollywood writ small.
