With Osama bin Laden claiming Zacarias Moussaoui's innocence in the 9-11 attacks, the French seem to be smirking that those clueless Yanks have (again) sent an innocent man to prison. It does not seem to have occurred to those paragons of justice, virtue, and the European way (such as Eric Fottorino) to rail against al Qaeda about the injustice (and the baseness) of the timing of a message that could easily have been issued before the verdict.
