If combatants who fail to obey the laws of the Geneva Convention were entitled to its privileges, its very purpose would be rendered a nonsense
Michael Winterbottom has a (cough) documentary about Guantanamo, so naturally Le Monde has Thomas Sotinel devote an entire page to the film and the filmmaker. The last time we looked, there was still no trace of Buried in the Sand in France, nor any translation of the Wall Street Journal article, The Savages: A barbaric enemy disqualified from the Geneva Convention.
