Behind the Façades in France: What expats and the mainstream media (French and American alike) fail to notice (or fail to tell you) about French attitudes, principles, values, and official positions…
Following his interview with the Emet station, a viewer or listener called in to complain that Philippe Karsenty seemed to be becoming either anti-Netanyahu or a raging leftist, if not both. So the station decided to interview the head of the Comité Trump France again, and he assured Emet's Jean-Patrick Grumberg (video) that neither is true.
Beyond that, the main subject of the interview concerned the war in Iran and Donald Trump's strategy, and in that perspective Philippe Karsenty has no doubt that the American president's final goal — even if it cannot be voiced — is the full overthrow of the Tehran régime.
He was also very deliberate. You could tell that Charlie hated wasting time. Without being rude, he wanted to get right into the meat of the discussion, and as we talked, it was impossible not to notice his oversized suit, the dress shoes that seemed more appropriate for a 70-year-old man, or his overall Midwestern disdain for trends.
… And, of course, there were the constant attacks. When I started working with Charlie, conservative media was awash in cheap hit pieces and op-eds attacking him and the organization. He was too abrasive, they said, too confrontational, too aggressive. They called him a charlatan, a grifter, and said TPUSA was all smoke and mirrors.
… What Charlie’s critics never understood about Charlie was how hard he was willing to work to accomplish what many believed was an impossible goal. They never saw the machine he was building brick by brick to turn back a generational tide that was decades in the making. Charlie knew the next crisis, the next challenge and the next hit piece was just around the corner. But he never gave in to despair or "black-pilled" thinking. He was a happy warrior until the end, always willing to work harder than everyone else, to do his part and to honor his word. He did it all with boundless energy, decency, unflinching faith and a belief in the greatness of America.
It has already been a year since conservative icon Charlie Kirk was assassinated and the attack has brought out the worst in some of the worst people in our media and celebrity culture. False claims that the alleged assassin was conservative, false quotes and hateful comments have filled TV, radio and, of course, the internet.
… The left and media moved on quickly from the assassination to the character assassination of the victim. Charlie Kirk was bashed as "hateful," "bigoted," a "hatemonger" and a "prominent Christian nationalist" who "has been known to make racist statements." Even major news outlets fired or suspended some of those who bashed Kirk. But broadcast outlets did their best to hide the obvious connection between the alleged shooter and the left’s obsession that everyone on the right is "fascist."
… Former "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah couldn’t get past how pro-Second Amendment Kirk "was shot while defending guns." He called it, "an incongruous funny thing that happens." "You are there. You're onstage, like, ‘Let me tell you why people should have guns.’ Wa-pow!" That’s the neutral individual who hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner a couple years ago.
As Philippe Karsenty pointed out within a week of of the assassination of Charlie Kirk regarding the Left's rants, "It has strictly nothing to do with free speech; it is the glorification of terrorism!"
That attack on Charlie's personality that it is allegedly ironic (and therefore fitting) that he "was shot while defending guns" — which might seem offhand to present a modicum of validity — is something that this blog answered in depth last December.
1) Two Basic Attitudes of Liberals That They Are Totally Oblivious About
2) Mass Shootings That the MSM Never Covers
3) Wouldn't Gun Control, European-Style, End Shootings in the First Place?
Do check all three points out. (Thanks for the Instalink, Ed.)
In the 18th century — the century at the end of which the Second
Amendment was being passed in the newly-born United States — the biggest
problem for the majority of the world's population was not the right to keep and bear arms.
It was the lack of the right to keep and bear arms.
In the 19th century, likewise, the greatest problem for most people on this planet was not the absence of gun control.
It was the presence of gun control.
In the 20th century, most people did not suffer from the right to keep and bear arms.
They suffered from the lack of the right to keep and bear arms.
As can be attested by the victims (assuming they could talk) of the likes of Hitler, Lenin, Stalin,
Pol Pot, and Milosevic, along with the Hutus…
As an aside, one of the first measures taken by each of the
aforementioned (ahem) leaders after coming to power — for the good of
the people, needless to say — was to impose or to tighten arms control.
And it is no different today.
Look at Saddam's Iraq, at Khadaffi's Libya, at the Assads' Syria…
(Would not the average Iraqi citizen, the average Libyan citizen, the
average Syrian citizen over the past 30 to 40 years have been better off
with the right to keep and bear arms?)
"We are determined to defend ourselves," Netanyahu continued [during a Rosh Hashanah toast in Jerusalem]. "We are determined to strike our enemies. They are not attacking us. Iran is refraining from doing so, and it knows why.
"Of course, it could make the mistake of attacking us. If it does, it will suffer a blow beyond anything it can even imagine."
Four days earlier, Philippe Karsenty told Jean-Patrick Grumberg on the Emet station that "it is time to prepare for the after-Bibi era." This came in turn three months after predicting that Benjamin Netanyahu will lose the Israeli elections this Fall — and especially that the Trump administration is counting on the fact that Netanyahu will soon be out of a job.
In any case, says the head of the Comité Trump France, Israel's new PM must come from the right, to resist against the pressure of countries such as France and Spain to commit suicide by giving in to Palestinian demands.
an interview with Jean Robin, Philippe Karsenty was grateful that for once he wasn't interrupted by French media folks trying to go for his throat. As spokesman for the Comité Trump France, he points out that Macron's France and Spain's Sanchez want America and Israel to lose — "France's votes at the UN are scandalous" — and that Trump got popular in the French media only when he appeared to be signing a capitulation to Tehran in Versailles.
"What is crazy is that when Trump appeared to be capitulating,
he all of a sudden became popular in France's state medias." As usual, Philippe Karsenty repeats that "There is no alternative to the destruction of the Tehran regime."
As fires have broken out across France during the hottest summer ever recorded in the country, it turns out that Macron's government turned down a foreign country's offer to send aid. Aid in the form of Canadair fire-fighting planes to help blow out the fires. Needless to say, that country was… Israel. (Merci pour l'Instalien, Sarah.)
Interview de Philippe Karsenty : guerre en Ukraine, guerre en Iran
Predicting that the Iran conflict — which, after five months, the drama queens are already calling a forever war — will be over the by the time of the mid-terms, Philippe Karsenty says that contrary to what
another guest was claiming, it's not "preoccupying" that Donald Trump is
continuing the conflict, it's "reassuring" that the Trump administration is
remaining determined in taking down what can only be called a barbaric
régime, an apocalyptic régime: "There is no alternative to the
destruction of this regime."
As conflict has broken out again between America and Iran, the spokesman of the Comité Trump France has been a regular guest on BFMTV, appearing three days in a row. Comparing the Iranians to the terrorists of Corsica while dismissing Bernie Sanders — to howls of protests by the other guests — Philippe Karsenty could be seen on July 20 with Alice Darfeuille (video at link, 30:20-35:32, 37:27, 41:53), on July 19 with François Gapihan (59:05-1:04:07, 1:07:45, 1:18:11-1:19:31, 1:36:05-1:37:37, 1:40:20-1:42:07), and on July 18 with Paola Puerari (11:33-13:17, 30:54-32:20, 34:55-36:52, 37:45-38:18, 38:22, 40:40-41:23, 42:42-43:04, 45:26-46:12, 53:00-54:16, 1:05:33-1:06:16, 1:06:55, 1:09:09-1:10:07, 1:12:05-1:13:33, 1:17:10-1:17:43, 1:21:44-1:24:00, 1:25:00, 1:25:35-1:26:46, 1:33:06-1:34:00, 1:36:22-1:36:48, 1:38:18-1:38:44, 1:50:13-1:52:07) — in the middle of which (1:10:07) they suddenly learn the news of the deaths of two American servicemen.
Every day he has appeared, Philippe Karsenty invariably tells his fellow guests that he wishes to ask all of them a question, one which inevitably makes them go berserk: "What is the alternative to the disappearance of this regime?"

"The United States and the free world have all befitted from the continuation of the Iran war," says Philippe Karsenty to a crowd of leftist guests and hosts on BFMTV (video). "The objective remains régime change. The world will not be free until the Tehran régime has been obliterated."
As the ceasefire is over, he adds that that "What is saving us and the Free World is the ego of Donald Trump." (Merci à Sarah pour l'Instalien.)
Moreover, the spokesman for le Comité Trump France (who appears at 2:55, 9:47-12:12, 14:36-15:56, and 17:00-17:51) warned against believing the mid-terms will be won by the Democrats as he mentions the New York town hall as an example showing how radical the Democrat Party has become. While he thinks that, consequently, Trump will win the mid-terms in November, he believes that, conversely, Benjamin Netanyahu will lose in Israel that same month.
BFM TV 8 juillet 2026 - Trump frappe l'Iran, le cessez le feu est terminé
Philippe Karsenty considers the Iran-US agreement highly unfavorable to Washington and Israel, arguing that an Israeli-American military victory risks turning into a strategic defeat.
He accuses JD Vance of pushing Donald Trump toward a dangerous stance—one that is overly conciliatory toward Tehran and its regional allies.
In his view, key objectives—regarding the nuclear program, missiles, proxy forces, and the weakening of the regime—have not been met.
Finally, he views Qatar as a major strategic player in this unfolding situation, accusing it of exerting profound influence in the West.
may well be pulling off a genuine diplomatic heist. The military loser is walking away with the political spoils. The result of this agreement is, in a sense, MIGA—“Make Iran Great Again”—or rather MITA: “Make Iran Terrorist Again.”
For that reason, the spokesman for le Comité Trump France likens the conflict to a tennis match which was won 6-0,-6-0, only to have the trophy bestowed upon the loser. He goes on to point to what lurks below the surface, such as Qatar's shenaningans and the following headache:
The fundamental problem is that Iran has colonized Lebanon through Hezbollah. Consequently, an attack on Hezbollah is portrayed as an attack on Iran. This is completely abnormal.
Nevertheless, Karsenty ends with a note of optimism:
In my view, the only remaining hope is that this text does not go through and that, within sixty days, it founders against the reality of the depravity and duplicity of the regime in Tehran.
It is a strategic defeat, a capitulation, a catastrophe, answered Philippe Karsenty when asked on Radio Shalom (FM94.8) whether he, as the spokesman of the Comité Trump France, isn't grieving.
Echoing his own comments on BFMTV five days earlier, Philippe goes on to talk about his fears regarding the Versailles treaty between Iran and America. However, he does allow for it all being some sort of a Trump ruse… (After all, Fox News just reported that POTUS 47 warned Tehran that "he would take whatever action he deems necessary if Iran fails to uphold its commitments … after talks in Switzerland" while BFMTV — and Putin — is now wondering whether "Trump has tricked the Russians?")
In any case, Philippe adds, Israel must improve its public relations and, above all, Jerusalem must try to "neutralize the power of JD Vance." (Merci à Sarah pour l'Instalien)
22 juin 2026 - Philippe Karsenty s'exprime sur l'accord de Versailles et sur son implémentation
He may be the spokesman for le Comité Trump France, however Philippe Karsenty is none too happy about the outcome of the Iran War. As Marc Fauvelle's BFMTVguest panel (video at the link) are preoccupied with and debate whether Donald Trump should have been invited to the Versailles palace, Philippe Karsenty doesn't see what there is anything to celebrate in any building in the first place — as he believes that the true subject of the day is that the American president has made a huge mistake vis-à-vis Tehran (0:10, 1:41-3:20, 9:29, 12:06-12:48, 21:18-22:54, 23:11, 23:32-24:40, 24:56, 28:44).
When asked on BFMTV, with a smirk, whether he has now become a Democrat, the spokesman for le Comité Trump France answers that he is simply closer to the Marco Rubio/Pete Hegseth flank of the Trump administration. (Merci pour l'Instalien, Sarah.)

Chaque jour, Marc Fauvelle vous accompagne de 19h à 20h dans 60 minutes Fauvelle sur BFMTV.
But what I am hoping is that Donald Trump has simply decided that winning the November mid-terms is the most important thing to do for the rest of this year, as, indeed, the future of his conservative blueprint — in foreign affairs as well as in domestic ones — will depend on that. Hopefully, he plans to return to his usual forcefulness after November — in case, needless to say, the GOP emerges victorious.
BFM TV 17 juin 2026 - Philippe Karsenty prend ses distances avec l'accord de Versailles
As an Apache helicopter is shot down over Iran, Philippe Karsenty is interviewed on RCN, where he provides an overview over the current situation regarding the Iran War.
The spokesman for the Comité Trump France told the listeners of André BARMO'HA that Donald Trump's cease-fire is not anything that Tehran has any respect for, ridiculed MSM (European as well as American) claims that the Islamic Republic is winning, and points out that France seems to be more allied to Iran, China, and Russia than to America or the West, what with the current narrative that America and Israel, not Iran, are responsible for starting the current conflict. (Merci pour l'Instalien, Sarah.)
Moreover, Philippe Karsenty revealed that Iran still has armed forces, in the perspective that Hamas and Hezbollah happen to actually be akin to "delocalized Iranian armies."
Philippe KARSENTY, Homme d’affaires, ancien Maire Adjoint de
Neuilly, Porte-Parole du comité TRUMP France, invité d'André BARMO'HA
A true friend of America, Philippe Karsenty seems to have become a feature on BFMTV, appearing no less than half a dozen times in the space of about one week, which in turn seems to be bringing him a measure of celebrity (or, in the eyes of the left, of infamy), earning him the mockery of French humorists in the vein of Colbert and Kimmel.
When the many guests, most of them left-leaning, asked whether the Strait of Hormuz is on a "Groundhog Day" loop (videos at all the links), the spokesman for the Comité Trump France strikes back at the TDS sufferers, who claim that Donald Trump has made no headway in the Iran war, with outright incredulity (3:43-5:55, 9:51-10:55, 11:40-12:33, 13:41-14:58).
BFM TV 18 mai 2026 - Trump menace de frapper
The following day, Philippe Karsenty appeared on BFMTV's 60 Minutes (Soixante Minutes in French) to answer questions whether POTUS47, (falsely) nicknamed TACO, chickened out in the face of Iran (2:17, 12:26-15:38, 23:52-25:00, 29:52-30:55), saying Trump is the only American president who has "shown courage" against what is nothing less than "the Iranian devils."
BFM TV 19 mai 2026 - Face à Marc Fauvelle, avec le général Palomeros et Maya Khadra - Trump, la guerre et l’OTAN
A week later, the spokesman for the Comité Trump France was back on BFMTV (4:24-7:17, 18:50-19:13, 20:20-21:05, 22:00-23:23, 29:06-30:10, 33:45-34:07), telling his fellow guests that it is time to stop allowing the ayatollahs' terrorist régime to blackmail the rest of the world. He also reveals the bombshell news item that the Trump administration is counting on the fact that, within a matter of months, Netanyahu will be out of a job, with some other person in the seat of Israel's PM… Surprisingly, Olivier Truchot and Alain Marschall let Philippe have the last word…

That same evening, Philippe warns of a catastrophe should Tehran's "apocapytic power" be allowed to survive and continue its racket (5:10, 6:06-8:14, 9:50-10:40, 13:26-14:00), stating that "I do not understand — and I tell that very objectively — why there is not an international coalition to force Iran to back down" with the ultimate aim of bringing an end to the Ayatollahs' government once and for all.

Finally, Philippe Karsenty provocative statement that "Free Palestine" is the modern era's "Heil Hitler" (it means nothing less than the eradication of the Jews) was brought to the attention of France's humorists, the country's equivalents of Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel. It has led the spokesman for the Comité Trump France (the name of the organization brought instant laughter) to be ridiculed on Radio Nova by the likes of Guillaume Meurice, a man who was fired from France-Inter for anti-semitism. Philippe wasn't too upset, though, and seemed to bear no grudges as this "beacon of thought piercing the darkness" did not deny the skit was passably amusing:
Plein de phrases sorties de leur contexte ou coupées pour me ridiculiser mais c'est assez bien fait et plutôt drôle

Trump, made in France - La chronique de Guillaume Meurice
The massive anti-immigration demonstration in London was the subject of a BFMTV report on Saturday (video at hyperlink), full of race-baiting leftists and one or two guests on the right.
When Arié Alimi made the tired old comparison of the London demonstration, Tommy Robinson, and Nigel Farage's party to the Third Reich, Philippe Karsenty shot back (6:36-9:03, 13:05, 14:21), pointing out that if there were any Nazis in London that day, they were in the counter-demonstration. (Vielen Dank für den Instalink, Sarah…)
When the neutral (sic) TV host reacted in shock, protesting that acting to "Free Palestine" should not be considered radical, the spokesman for Le Comité Trump France shot back that they are not pro-Palestinian but pro-Jihadist, as evidenced by declarations and signs with the words "F•ck the
Jews," "Nuke the Jews," and "We are going to rape your wives." He added that the slogan
"Free Palestine" is the modern era's "Heil Hitler." It means nothing less than the eradication of the Jews.
"Israel must give up Palestine, Palestine will be free! The Jews they're are going to get beheaded one by one, you dirty Jews!"
"In America, the economy is doing well, it's the rest of the world that is suffering — especially China." Among the guests on BFMTV's Marschall Truchot (video at the link) on Thursday discussing Donald Trump's visit to Beijing and the war in the Middle East was Philippe Karsenty (1:03:51-1:14:34).
While the other guests praised China, equating the dragon and Uncle Sam as the new equals, the spokesman for le Comité Trump France went on to say that
If Xi really wanted to launch an attack on Taiwan, now would be the time to do it — while the US are, according to some, fully mobilized on Iran, this would be the moment to attack.
But Beijing is not doing that. As usual, as soon as Karsenty starts making sense, he is interrupted in a manner that the others are not…
