A Danish-American couple were enjoying a cool evening in the mountains beyond San Diego on or about June 23 when the California skies were illuminated by the Space X rocket. The pictures tell the rest of the story.

Is this the 'space jellyfish' effect that folks talk about?

This looks similar to a human sperm cell. A Meta sperm-cell going for the ‘egg’ planet. Macro, micro, it’s all the same

Living a bit north of Vandenberg AFB, I've seen a lot of launches and the spectacular effects.

Yet the most colorful and eerie was in Hawaii. One night it looked so very much like the planet Saturn complete with rings but covering a good portion of the sky.. It truly did look like Saturn, enough that some people became quite anxious.
