Chiraq wants to tax the US of A

Even though more than half of the top 20 most polluted sites in Europe are in Russia, Chiraq doesn't dare utter the same nonsense to Putin because if he did Putin would shutdown the natural gas pipelines so fast that Chiraq would have to move his sorry ass to Southern Portugal just to get a bit of warmth. Chiraq is a coward and a Socialist Stooge who will, thankfully, soon exit the French political stage.

De-nazification and the new French exception ideology

A French doctor insinuates that, with regards to eugenics and pre-natal selection, France will soon require a de-Nazification process to deal with this new "French ideology".

"En revanche, je suis persuadé que si la France avait été confrontée, à l'occasion d'un régime nazi, à des pratiques eugénistes similaires, elle répugnerait aujourd'hui à s'engager sur une pente particulièrement dangereuse."

Guess Joey made it through the Selektion process.

On the Seventh Day, the French secular-lesson-givers shit in their pants

As long as "Creationism" was perceived to be a uniquely American phenomenon, brave French journalists (ainsi que les toujours courageux pédés-bloggeurs franchouilles) had lots of fun yelping it up and denouncing the dangers of Bush-fueled fundamentalism, the Bible, Christianity, and what have you. Now that it is making significant inroads within the French school system (where French youth are refusing to study Rousseau, Voltaire, and the Theory of Evolution), all thanks to a certain minority, all of those secular-lesson-givers have suddenly shut their mouths. En fait, ils sont tous trop occupés à souiller leur culotte républicaine.

Traders' Call To Arms

Bush applauded and cheered on Wall Street. "But this is a guy with more character and more faith than almost anyone else in public life."

Chiraq retreats

After dishing up some unbelievable bullshit. France is a menace and must be treated as such.

Tiens, on dirait Piètre Croupion

You know how those French holier-than-thou look-down-their-nose types keep talking about the latest poll which proves that US college kids can't find Iraq on a map or other such rubbish. Check out this game show contestant on the French version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", and then watch when the French studio audience is polled.

Thanks to Bruce.

Clearly Asking Too Much

The Reuters writer is too disconnected to ask what would prompt a town to feel the need to read the immigrants that the Federal Government lets in the riot act. It was found under the heading of "Oddly Enough" where they tuck in light-hearted stories about underwater weddings, and Polar Bear Club events.

However, in Kébékistan the absurd, the mayor still had to head off a allegation of racism and anti-islamism when the town council of Herouxville, Quebec passed a motion to tell residents that they must not stone women to death in public.

Gratuitously, and in unrelated fashion, Reuters tossed this in:

"I was shocked and insulted to see these kinds of false stereotypes and ignorance about Islam and our religion ... in a public document written by people in authority who discriminate openly," he [Salam Elmenyawi, president of the Muslim Council of Montreal] told Reuters.

Last year a Montreal gym agreed to install frosted windows after a nearby Hasidic synagogue said it was offended by the sight of adults exercising.
Maybe our crack reported felt some need to "balance" the story off, vis-à-vis the Heeb-hating they expect from their readers.

The accusation that this-or-that has set [insert whining entity here] "20 years back" is heard so often, that if were true they should have a good image. After all Islam wouldn't have yet invaded Asia Minor, North Africa, and eastern Europe.

"Smoking Kills"
..."Can I have one last request?"...
..."No!"...
EUtopian confusion: notice that the Serguei doesn't seem to think that the smoker doing a nice impression of Joan of Arc isn't killing himself. Somehow the rest of society is involved. Truly pointless.

It fits nicely with another of today's newsless items in Le Monde, including this one on the front page: "Pompidou Center Leading in Contemporaneous Creativity" which ignores the fact that independent artists might disagree that a committee driven state institution can force the creation of anything genuine, or that creative people may, implausibly, also exist somewhere else where it requires some effort on the part of the journo to identify.

Are you Ready to Become Amish?

Asks Gene Miller:

This week will see the storm clouds grow, the doomsday clock move forward, tipping points reached, mass hysteria, as well as dogs and cats living together, all due to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issuing another report on global warming (aka 'climate change' for those who are not sure and want to hedge their bets). The report will be trumpeted by those in the Malthusian and Luddite echo chambers of the radical environmental movement as their own religious version of the 'end times', great ... knock yourself out. This particular collective being by and large part of the 'do as I say, not as I do' crowd. A more apt slogan for the economic and lifestyle changes they want to force upon everyone else would be, ' I am not ready to become Amish, but you are!'. But I digress.

Tainted Love

Nick Cohen looks back at the left of his youth and of the present day, and wonders what their motives are.

Fiery socialist MPs denounced Baathism, while playwrights and poets stained the pages of the liberal press with their tears for his victims. Many quoted the words of a brave Iraqi exile called Kanan Makiya. He became a hero of the left because he broke through the previously impenetrable secrecy that covered totalitarian Iraq and described in awful detail how an entire population was compelled to inform on their family and friends or face the consequences. All decent people who wanted to convict the West of subscribing to murderous double standards could justifi ably use his work as evidence for the prosecution.

The apparently sincere commitment to help Iraqis vanished the moment Saddam invaded Kuwait in August 1990 and became America's enemy.
Quite simple really. Once you control for your irrational hatred of the nation that brought the enlightenment into reality and made the concept of human rights a real and tangible thing, it’s easy to love a dictator.
I assumed that once the war was over they would back Iraqis trying to build a democracy, while continuing to pursue Bush and Blair to their graves for what they had done. I waited for a majority of the liberal left to offer qualified support for a new Iraq, and I kept on waiting, because it never happened - not just in Britain, but also in the United States, in Europe, in India, in South America, in South Africa ... in every part of the world where there was a recognisable liberal left. They didn't think again when thousands of Iraqis were slaughtered by 'insurgents' from the Baath party, which wanted to re-establish the dictatorship, and from al-Qaeda, which wanted a godly global empire to repress the rights of democrats, the independent-minded, women and homosexuals. They didn't think again when Iraqis defied the death threats and went to vote on new constitutions and governments.
So the imaginary “class struggle thing” proved to be more important than the real struggle for Arabs to be freed to the matrix of oppressive governments and oppressive Jihadists. Hardly any among those “pumping their fists for peace” seemed to be able to recognize the contradiction. American servicepeople develop personal relationships with Iraqis who were once compelled to fight them, and the left spouting on about liberation can’t. It's quite telling.

Mais c'est vrai qu'on est tellement mieux en Fwance avec Bénabar et Diams.

A Wake-up Call For Simpletons

To all the idiot lefties who think that the Arab world is a monolith, and that accommodating Islamism is just “accepting popular will” in exchange for peace – just watch this.

“your citizens in your country have become a threat for the rest of the world”

...and in part it’s Ken Livingstone’s doing. By “celebrating diversity”, something that exists whether you celibrate it or not, he has grown the weeds of a culture war from the seeds of archaic class struggle claptrap. It’s worth mentioning at this point that the UK is exceedingly less “diverse” (culturally and genetically speaking) than the United States where the social tensions aren’t nearly as high. It’s as though the cleaving action of “celebrating multiculturalism” is inversely proportional to harmony. Call is “solidarity” if you wish, to used Ken’s old vocabulary.

Adloyada reports on Red Ken’s absurd conference in London, and the unexpected applause received by Daniel Pipes. Referring to Livingstone’s motives, panelist Douglas Murray said:

Now he could have today invited as his co-debater, a moderate. He could have invited someone from the moderate, secularist muslim association in France. Muslim women, Neither Whore nor Submissives, a wonderful organization. He could have done that. Or someone like Ayaan Hirsi Ali or Wafa Sultan. But instead he invited Ms Yacoob. Ms Yacoob, a spokesman for the Birmingham Central Mosque and for the head of that mosque Mohammad Naseem who believes that 7/7 wasn’t carried out by muslims and so on. We could say that, we could mention the fact that her political career as such started when she acted as the defender of the Yemeni Seven, the group of terrorists including Abu Hamza’s sons who were out there with the brother also involved in the campaign, and I would also point out on this one that she is also a member of Respect Party, a party so far beyond the pale of traditional political discourse. And neither does she or her party stand on the side of the moderates. Her party has called for the success of the insurgency in Iraq, the murder of the people of Iraq that we should be supporting . She and her party, her line on this, her party’s line on this is that the insurgency should survive.

The money quote goes to Douglas Murray: How's multi-culturalism going in Saudi Arabia?

Dependably Crazy

Despite the fact that Syria and Lebanon were French possessions, and had done virtually nothing about the civil war and Syrian occupation over the decades in which it festered, Serguei can find little else to do other than to draw this rather bi-polar cartoon of Uncle Sam trying to extinguish the rage in the Near East that Europe did so much to ignore, but draw Bush as a drooling midget brandishing an artillery shell. Good work, Serguei. You’ve managed to prove your total inability to reason as an adult.

An American (Humanist) in Washington

Above: the Prius, itself the embodiment of great virtue despite not being sentient, owned by the DC correspondent for Chavez’ propaganda operation, Telesur. All $28 000 of good intentions of it. Obviously because it’s covered with bumper stickers, it can’t be called “stuff.” The car, in fact, is better that you are.

The correspondent, a woman in her 20s, is probably not having a hard time consolidating the notion of disposing of participatory democracy, because very few of these “Little Eichmanns” seem even marginally aware of the rights they have, and the ones being denied to people by those that they admire.

Pancho’s Dreams of Dystopia

Why not just come out and say it? “Bu$hChimpMcHitlerburton personally flew BOTH planes into the World Trade Center towers!!!”

"Whatever the reality is, invert it" goes the battle order of those so Anti-American that they've become anti-reality, as they hang their hats on an imaginary evil, a Heironymous Bosch trypic that they paint on stroke at a time. A remarkable feat for someone wearing a blindfold.

Jihadists attack landmarks with aircraft, and the implication must be inverted, and the relationships perverted. The leftist press attacks anyone doing anything about it, and the mere discussion of it is called "burning up the constitution."

A non-American feels perfectly free to project his unreconstructed narcissism on the matter, and convinces an ill-informed, ignorant audience in Europe (where free speech is acutely more limited) of all the same.

Meanwhile, the EU is engaging in regime change, annexation, Imperialism, colonialism, as they have for centuries, and nary a peep is made about it. They will never leave the former Yugoslavia, and no-one would dare call that a failure and a quagmire – not now, not a decade ago, and not a decade from now.
