A Danish-American couple were enjoying a cool evening in the mountains beyond San Diego on or about June 23 when the California skies were illuminated by the Space X rocket. The pictures tell the rest of the story.

ReplyDeleteLiving a bit north of Vandenberg AFB, I've seen a lot of launches and the spectacular effects.
ReplyDeleteYet the most colorful and eerie was in Hawaii. One night it looked so very much like the planet Saturn complete with rings but covering a good portion of the sky.. It truly did look like Saturn, enough that some people became quite anxious.
