Every June 6 for the past dozen years, No Pasarán has commemorated the D-Day troops with a post headed by a different line from Paul Anka's unforgettable song for "The Longest Day"

But for me, ever since I saw the movie at the tender age of 9 or 10 — I was in awe as I realized that I had finally seen a realistic war movie — it has always been blood and "sand" and tears, and so it shall remain here…
