Taxpayers Shorn by French State

In the 14th issue of Le Cri du Contribuable, La Baf goes to hairy lengths to show (symbolically) how all of a Frenchman's yearly income earned before July 16 goes to the state (video). In other words, not until July 17 does a Frenchman start working for himself every year.
