Yes, in fact they DO have room service inside the post-modern bubble

There is a parasite effect - more of a “Peter Pan Syndrome” to being a leftist these days. The demands of having a better world yield to the mechanics of creating it. As soon as that flash of insight is made aware to Peter, then the idea that you can demand action, funds, yea, your very dignity from others becomes the buzz.

Under the American "unipolar" era we had the collapse of Somalia and Afghanistan, the Rwandan genocide, and the Bosnian war in the heart of Europe. Sorry, but I don't see how it's any different right now.
So, you see the US is somehow to be made responsible for Europe’s internal security, but must yield to her politicians, following their guidance attentively and obediently, for fear of offending these responsible “powers” when they imagine a scenario of action.

It’s seems these days that being a Briton of leftish bent means repeating the phrase “We aren’t going to believe the lies anymore!” no matter what the topic. Activism becomes a substitute for action of any sort, even taking out the garbage when you’re living in filth. It is the new Roman decadence. It’s a fig leaf hiding ones’ own lethargy from oneself.

Behind the usual mob hysteria and anti-Americanism (anti-Canadianism, anti-anythingism) at Guardian’s Comment is Free site, a few rays of light get through the cracks. To which one commenter has to avert his eyes in horror and demand an end to even the slightest diversity (of thought):
Guardian, please, please, PLEASE, remove the option to make comments from your pages. The idea was good, but there are a number of people who have nothing better to do with their time than to fire off inanities supporting their positions and it seems as though they spend all day waiting for the opportunity to be the first to comment.
It is no surprise that these unemployable rejects are all right wingers. Seriously, I'm begging you, remove this soapbox for the deranged lunatics like jihadisbad, renn and assorted fascists. It's not doing them any favours and it's making me sick.
Comedy Bonus!: read Guardian adherents lose their shit at show tolerance for Newt.
...Mr. Gingrich is, on the face of it, insane. In fact, I doubt he believes the nonsense he writes, it seems to be pitched at an IQ level of 65.

...Pissed my pants laughing, before realising this is cut and paste, from stuff Newt is peddling this week in the US. Get you back to Foxworld, sunshine.

...What an unpleasant person.

The fuse is lit!
